About this Event
As artificial intelligence evolves from assistive tools to increasingly autonomous and embedded systems, its impact on creativity, labour, and organisational infrastructure is entering a new phase.
This panel discussion will explore how AI-driven workflows, emerging infrastructures, and convergent technologies are reshaping the future of work and creative practice.
The discussion will be chaired by Jen Bell and Ian Campbell Cole, who are joined by Martin Sandhu, working across enterprise innovation and emerging AI systems, and Rob Boyett, designer, strategist, and researcher exploring AI-integrated product and creative workflows.
Together, the panel will examine the rapid emergence of AI systems capable of orchestration, automation, and collaboration across platforms — and what this means for creative industries, enterprise systems, and organisational design.
Themes explored will include:
- The impact of AI-driven and automated workflows on creativity and design practice
- How AI may reshape workforce structures, roles, and industries in the coming years
- Which sectors may be more resilient, or more vulnerable to large-scale automation
- What alternative AI infrastructures might look like beyond today’s dominant consumer platforms
- How organisations can design more ethical, flexible, and future-facing AI ecosystems.
Produced by the Knowledge Exchange Practice Network for Emerging Tech, Nottingham Trent University.
