Creative Pet Portraits

Make art with The Dabbler's Collective! Learn easy, beginner-friendly trace and transfer techniques to turn your favorite pet photo into a handmade portrait! In this workshop, makers will be guided through the process of "carboning" or using charcoal to transfer a tracing of a photo to a canvas, resulting in a beautiful sketched outline that can be built into a piece of art. We will then bring life to our portraits using mixed media materials like paint, pastels, markers, pens, and colored pencils. This is a great chance to turn art into play, explore new materials, and make a beautiful homage to your favorite fur bebe.
