Creative Minds- Session 4- Mixed Media Paper Dolls

Are you looking for a fun and creative activity for your child after school? Creative Minds focuses on exposing students to different forms of art and providing space to explore interesting topics! Each session is unique and teachers rotate to give students an opportunity to learn from a variety of artists!

Creative Minds has either a Monday or Tuesday program option. The classes run from 3:00-4:30 with drop off beginning at 2:30. Students who attend Wawecus Elementary School can be picked up from school by Jena with parental permission.

A registration form will be emailed to new students to provide teachers with more information about your students and their needs prior to class beginning. Please be aware that the email will be from [email protected]. These emails occasionally are sent directly to spam folders.

Session 4: Collage Paper Dolls with Lynda and Madeleine

In this 4 week class, students will create paper dolls and clothes.

This class will be run by Lynda Shoup and Madeleine Ooka

Lynda Shoup is a mixed media, paper, and fiber artist. With experience teaching a variety of mediums of art, she shares her love of mixed media art in an instructive yet freeing way. She loves sharing her passion with others and has a way of making learning fun. Whether you come as an academic or as a hobbyist, a pro or just to dip your toe in, you are bound to have a good time.

Madeleine Ooka is a digital and traditional artist who also enjoys the fiber arts. Following in her mother's footsteps, she loves being creative and sharing the joy of art. Whether it's giving advice on how to achieve your vision, or helping you explore new artistic concepts, she can lend a helping hand. Madeleine is teaching with her mother, and boy do they make a fun and creative duo.

Monday Class Dates: 1/13, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10

Tuesday Class Dates: 1/14, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11

Note: There will be no classes on January 20th and 21st for the MLK holiday.
