Develop stronger drawing and painting skills through the study of portraiture and the human figure.
This class emphasizes proportion, structure, value, light and shadow, color, edges, and the underlying forms that create believable portraits and figures. Students may work from photographs, master studies, or other personal reference material while receiving individualized instruction throughout the development of their work.
Although portrait and figure are the primary focus of the Tuesday morning class, all subjects are welcome in every Creative Mastery class. Students may choose the class time that works best for their schedule and work in portrait, figure, landscape, still life, or another subject of their choice.
All levels and drawing and painting mediums are welcome.
