Discover the expressive world of palette knife painting in this immersive, hands-on workshop designed for artists of all skill levels. The Art of Palette Painting explores the bold textures, vibrant color blending, and dynamic techniques that make palette knife art so captivating. Participants will learn how to create depth, movement, and emotion using layering, scraping, and sculptural paint application techniques. Students will experiment with acrylic paints to develop your own unique artistic style. This workshop covers:
- Essential palette knife techniques
- Color mixing and texture building
- Creating an abstract piece, in modern composition.
- How to on how to preserve textured artwork
Whether you are a beginner looking to try something new or an experienced artist seeking fresh inspiration, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative environment to explore the beauty of palette painting. Students must bring their own canvas size: 18” x 24” to 24” x 24”

11am Workshop Begins
1:30pm Break for Lunch Please bring food or beverage of your choice for the lunch break. Arts Warehouse has a large refrigerator where items may be stored as well as a microwave if needed. Bedner’s Market is just a short walk away with fresh made soups, salads, and sandwiches available as well.
3pm Workshop is dismissed
About the Instructor:
Janie Reisler is a new resident to South Florida coming from Montreal, Canada. She is an artist, graphic designer, graduate art historian and educator and has been teaching many art styles for over 30 years. These styles include classical life drawing, 3D design, fashion illustration, drawing from the live model, decorative painting, collage, recycled/upcycled art and currently the trending mixed media/ street art style. She is thrilled to bring her passion and expertise to the Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach.
