About this Event
Welcome to Creative Kintsugi: A Therapy-Informed Art Class led by Therapist Megan Marshall and Shadow Work Coach Jessa Frances! Join us for a unique experience where art and therapy meet. In this in-person event, you will learn the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, except with a twist. Instead of using gold, there will be a variety of mixed media to support your creations.
Discover how embracing flaws and imperfections can create beauty. Let your creativity flow as you mend and transform broken pieces into exquisite artworks.
Join us for Creative Kintsugi, a transformative, therapy-informed art class that blends creativity with personal healing. Inspired by the ancient Japanese practice of Kintsugi—this class explores how our own cracks and life experiences can become sources of beauty, resilience, and strength.
Through guided reflection, expressive art-making, and mindful discussion, you will learn how to conceptualize your life before and after a stressful or traumatic event, with a focus on alchemizing the difficult parts of your experience into points of growth. This practice of Post-Traumatic Growth Art encourages you to see your healing journey as a masterpiece in the making—one where the scars don’t define you, but instead, illuminate your strength.
We’ll begin the class with breathwork and a guided meditation, setting the tone for introspection and deep emotional connection. The session will open and close with a ceremonial process to honor your journey, integrating the art-making experience with a profound sense of peace and clarity.

✔ A gentle, supportive space for self-expression
✔ Art as a tool for personal growth and transformation
