About this Event
Expressive journal writing can be healing, creative and transformational. It’s a way to work through your jumbled thoughts and find a way to clear your mind.
Join Fiona Keating, author of 'Smoke and Silk', in a journal writing workshop for Mental Health Awareness Week at Victoria Library. Through a series of of interactive writing exercises, Fiona will lead you through a range of different journalling techniques which aim to promote a sense of wellbeing.
All are welcome to this free workshop, whatever your experience of creative writing or journalling.

BIO - Fiona Keating, workshop facilitator
Fiona Keating published her debut novel Smoke & Silk in March 2025, a crime mystery set in the Victorian East End. Pearl Fitzgerald arrives in Limehouse, London's very first Chinatown - and finds herself at the scene of a M**der. Fiona is is currently writing her second novel in which Pearl is on the case of a curator murdered at the British Museum.
Fiona is a journalist and editor, covering world news, travel and current affairs as well as history and archaeology. She has worked for ITN, the Independent, and the Guardian. She was born in Penang, Malaysia, is from Chinese/Irish heritage and has lived in London since she was two years old. She completed the Crime Writing Novel Writing MA at City University.
