Creative Festival - Shop Local Vendors, Live Performances, Free Parking +..

The 2nd Neilson Park Creative Festival takes place on Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with live music continuing through 5:00 p.m.

*This is a free to attend event, but we encourage you to register on Eventbrite to help us get a sense of attendance going into the event.

We’ll have art and fine craft vendors selling their handmade items including paintings, quilted items, jewellery, wood carving, soaps, cards, pottery and more!

Live outdoor performances are scheduled throughout the day with The Music Studio Jazz Band, Spoken Word artists Desiree Mckenzie, Joshua ‘Scribe’ Watkins and Shahaddah Jack, and headliner Nicolas Hernandez Trio as well as Imposter Syndrome.

A Plein-Air Painting competition where artists will set up their easels and paint the nature around us in real time with an award ceremony at 3:45 pm.

Free visual art activities for children and families include 1-hour workshops offered throughout the day between 10:00a.m. - 4:00 p.m. They will be offered inside the centre to give people a break from the heat outside and activities will include face painting, creating friendship bracelets, and a watercolour painting workshop.

While you’re at the Festival, be sure to come inside the Centre for refreshments and check out our IMPACT juried art exhibition! NPCC has free on-site or street parking and is a fully accessible facility with washrooms available inside the building.
