Creative Entrepreneurs

In this program, we will be working in groups to design products based on the musical instruments in St Cecilia's Hall which could be sold in our giftshop.

We will introduce you to the principles of product design and to working with 3D printing and scanning technologies.

You'll also hear from Edinburgh Innovations, the department of the university that supports student enterprise. They'll tell you about some of the founders they've worked with and run a workshop on how to pitch your product.

On our last day, everyone will be invited to display their product designs in our product fair and judges will choose a winner.

If you win, you will get a prototype of your design and a gift card per person. Runners up will also get a prize.

This programme is open to young people between the ages of 15 - 18. We particularly welcome members of the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ communities. If you have any questions about the programme, please contact Laura on [email protected].
