About this Event
Join us for a three day Symposium on Creative Engagement and healing through art.
In the United States, 40 + million people are caregivers. Many of them take care of individuals who suffer from memory loss, depression and anxiety and many of these caregivers are unpaid.
This symposium is crafted with this deserving and underserved population in mind,
providing both self-care ideas and new tools to apply to their caregiving.
Including:
- Opening Night Celebration & Fundraising Event
- Art exhibit by individuals living with dementia and their caregivers
- "Creative Engagement" Panel Discussion
- Community Weaving Project
- "Building Community through Shared Drumming" Presentation
- Lego/Music Workshop (by invitation)
- Sound Bath
- Relaxation Room
- Refreshments and more!

Funds raised through ticket sales and donations help to bring this event to those in need. Proceeds also support the mission of two local nonprofits:
The Art League of Ocean City is dedicated to promoting artistic expression and appreciation for the creative arts in our community.
The Stories Love Music mission includes improving the care and support of those with dementia and their caregivers by creating connections between music, storytelling, and emotional health.
