Creative Empowerment Youth Art Series — Overview
The Creative Empowerment Youth Art Series is a 12-session creative journey designed by artist/instructor Taylor McCoy, for young artists ages 6–11. Through hands-on art projects, creative challenges, and self-expression, children will explore new ideas, build skills, learn from mistakes, develop confidence, and experience the joy of creating and sharing with others.
Each session focuses on a different part of the creative journey:
Session 1 — The Creator
Every masterpiece begins with an idea.
Session 2 — The Explorer
Every discovery begins with a question.
Session 3 — The Guide
We learn from those who help us grow.
Session 4 — The Builder
Ideas become real through effort and action.
Session 5 — The Dreamer
Imagination helps us see what is possible.
Session 6 — The Showcase
Sharing our work can inspire others.
Session 7 — The Path
Every creative journey is unique.
Session 8 — The Mistake
Mistakes help us learn and improve.
Session 9 — The Courage
Bravery helps us keep creating, even when it’s hard.
Session 10 — The Discovery
New understanding comes from curiosity and exploration.
Session 11 — The Community
Creativity grows when we create together.
Session 12 — The Legacy
What we create today can inspire tomorrow.
By the end of the series, young artists will have experienced much more than making art—they’ll have explored the creative process from the first spark of an idea to confidently sharing what they create.
