This magical event is unlike any other you have attended. The event is divided into 3 parts:
1. Partnered Social Learning

No boring lectures or self-bragging talks that you fall asleep to - you will learn to uncover:

• Your true personal brand that makes people remember you immediately
• Powerful storytelling techniques that will get your portfolio case study noticed by hiring managers at top companies

You will actively with your assigned partner under the guidance of your dynamic host. You are required to practice active listening skills throughout activities.

You will change partners multiple times throughout the evening to maximize your chances of making meaningful professional connections.

2. Rapid Fire Portfolio Review

Attendees have the opportunity to submit their portfolios for our guest host, product designer Kerry McPhearson with experience working with world-class companies such as Disney, for a rapid review during the event.

Attendees who did not get a chance to submit their portfolio before the event may be the opportunity to request an impromptu review during the event if time permits.

3. Guided Conscious Mentoring

Throughout the night, you will form meaningful connections with many other attendees through a carefully-guided and activity-based process. Your networking experience will be industry-specific as we divide the venue into sections where people from adjacent industries can connect in a non-awkward, meaningful and relaxed environment.

About The Host

​ brings over a decade of experience in the design industry and is an accomplished design educator. Sydney graduated with a BFA in Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Sydney began her entrepreneurship journey nearly seven years ago as co-founder of creative mentorship platform RookieUp. She also taught—and later became Head of Design Education—at Shillington NYC, contributing to exceptional student results. She is now co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Path Unbound, leading student affairs, curriculum development, branding and workshops.

​Sydney has worked on multiple end-to-end product design initiatives in the tech education space. She plans to partner this experience with her deep understanding and insights into curriculum development and instruction training to bring an approachable and delightful experience to Path Unbound’s comprehensive design education platform and course offerings.
