Shoshanna's Creative Dance program emphasizes having fun while building basic dance skills, musicality, and exploration of dance concepts like space, speed, levels, size, and more.
In the 3–5-year-old class, children learn how to be in a dance class, listen, think about each other as they move, and begin to make creative choices while developing a vocabulary in dance.
In the 5–8-year-old class, dancers work on more complex skills, flexibility, and strength while developing creative problem-solving skills, improvisation, choreography, giving feedback to each other, and beginning to find an artistic voice.
Creative Dance runs each Monday afternoon from 3:15-4:00 p.m. for the 3-5 class and 4:15-5:15 p.m.. Classes are ran on a monthly basis and fees vary based on number of meeting dates. See our registration page for more information at cityofarcata.org/rec.
