About this Event

Join us on Saturday, July 27 at ‘Āina Haina Public Library for a morning of watercolor painting!

Adults of all experience levels are welcome to join us for this free, beginner watercolor workshop. Artist Paige Su will guide us through the process of creating our own watercolor painting of the beautiful local scenery.

Note that all supplies are included so you won't have to bring anything with you, but we recommend you wear comfortable clothing as you may spend long periods of time sitting while painting.

At the end of workshop, you will have the opportunity to submit a photo of your painting to our "Creative Coping" booklet.

Pictured below is Paige's sample of what you'll be painting during the workshop: Kuli‘ou‘ou Beach!

About our host, Paige Su:

Paige Su, the artist behind Poshiki LLC, was born and raised on O'ahu. She grew up marveling at God’s creation, and her watercolor paintings celebrate everyday beauty from the misty rain in Mānoa Valley to a chilled mango on a hot summer day. She also loves teaching introductory watercolor workshops for adults. Through a simple and encouraging approach, she helps participants rediscover the joy of making art like when they were kids.

"Creative Coping" is a series of free workshops that explore how creativity can strengthen mental health and wellness, sponsored by Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i and NAMI Hawai‘i.

NAMI Hawaii is committed to offering community-focused education, advocacy, and support programs for family caregivers and individuals living in recovery.

Samaritan Counseling Center Hawai'i is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to provide professional and accessible mental health counseling sensitive to the spiritual traditions of individuals, families, and communities in Hawai'i, regardless of their ability to pay.
