Ages 9 - 14 at the Depot Art CenterClass Description: Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the Depot for comedy class! Students learn from one of Steamboat’s most celebrated comedians by expressing themselves through comedy writing, Improvisational Theater (improv!), joke-telling, and stand-up. Find your inner funnyperson and develop a new outlet for self-expression.
Teacher: Scott Parker is the Executive Director of the Friends of Yampa Valley Arts (formerly Friends of the Chief Foundation) and is one of the founding members of the We're Not Clowns Juggling and Comedy Troupe. With experience in acting, comedy writing, directing, and producing, Scott has taught a wide range of workshops to people of all ages. Scott holds a BS and an M.Ed and is a former classroom teacher.
