CLASS DATES
* Aug. 13
* Sept. 10
* Oct. 1
* Nov. 5
* Dec. 10
Are you ready to build friendships and community through art, discussion, making, and experimentation? No experience necessary - just the willingness to get out of the house, open your mind, and have some fun.
CLASS EXPERIENCE
Each session, participants will uncover a new medium and creative challenge. No two are alike!Creative Kate, art coach (www.katetheartcoach.com), will be your guide. Kate will open each meetup with an optional:
+ Warm-up exercise to let go of the week
+ Surprise art material to jump start your creativity
+ Juicy prompt you can sink your teeth into
+ Ideas for how to extend your art-making at home
+ A mult-step approach that allows you to choose your level of guidance
In previous months, we’ve done things like mystery boxes, black and white art (ink and salt and pepper), bedazzled resin futuristic jewelry, circular weaving, tiny clay food, and much more.
This semester, we'll play with pop-up art, iron-on wall fabric, mosaics, upcycling, and take-home prompts to continue arting at home. Each class is a unique medium and has a prompt to get your creativity flowing.
CLASS PARTICIPANT LOVE
"I consider this 'art therapy.' It lets me step away from my life for a bit and be creative."
"Kate is the best - a calm, kind teacher who guides when needed and also supports each student's ideas and goals."
"Thanks for being low-pressure but encouraging."
BRING YOUR OWN ART!
You also have the option to bring your own projects and stay accountable to investing in your art. All arts are welcome, but please NO OIL OR SPRAY PAINTS.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
+ Access to a variety of art supplies at the studio for you to experiment with.
+ Ideas and feedback from other creatives.
+ Help working through a hang-up, including the white page.
