Burned out, bored and uninspired? Join us for this transformative day-long retreat, which blends the healing powers of creative expression with meditation and aromatherapy, to help you feel peaceful, grounded, and vibrant once again.
Set in an etheral light-flooded space along the banks of the Fraser River, and led by wellness writer, artist and owner of JoiebyLise, Lise Boullard, this unique event offers a safe space to unlock deep healing, true relaxation and expansive play. Together, we’ll meditate, relax, and joyfully unleash our creativity through crafting beautiful soy wax candles, and shea butter soaps using arometherapeutic essential oils. We'll also discuss essential oil benefits and blending techniques, and practice nervous system healing methods that are simple, effective, and deeply restorative.
Morning: Creative Flow
- Begin with a gentle grounding meditation designed to create safety, presence, and belonging
- Learn about the healing benefits of essential oils for emotional balance, focus, and relaxation
- Blend your own custom scents using only therapeutic-grade essential oils (inlcuding lavender, cedarwood, sandalwood and more).
- Learn the skills and techniques to make clean non-toxic soy wax candles scented only with healing essential oils, then unleash your creative ideas as you craft one marbled soy wax candle, and paint the vessel of a second 13 oz soy wax candle.
Break:
Take 45 minutes to relax, and enjoy a nourishing lunch of sandwhiches, fresh fruit, herbal teas and coffee. If you like, you can take a short rejuvenating walk along the banks of the Fraser River.
Afternoon: Bliss & Healing
- Use molds, and healing essential oils and dyes to craft three beautiful bars of shea butter aromatherapy soap.
- Learn how to use marbling techniques and mica to elevate your soap to works of art.
- Explore simple nervous system regulation techniques, including breathwork and havening, which have been found to be effective in managing daily anxiety and stress.
- Experience a deeply restorative guided sound bath meditation
You’ll Leave With
- Two 13oz soy wax candles, and three shea butter soaps infused with aromatherapeutic essential oils, and your own healing energy.
- Practical tools and exercises to support nervous system health in your day-to-day life
- A sense of calm, renewal, and empowerment to carry forward
- Connection with a small, supportive group (maximum 10 participants)

About Your Host
I’m Lise Boullard, chandler, artist, wellness journalist and founder of JoiebyLise.com. I hold a BA in criminology and a psychology minor, a certificate in Nonviolent Communication, and bring lived experience of navigating nervous system healing. My passion is creating safe and nurturing spaces where healing practices and creative artistic expression come together to help you feel grounded, joyful, and at peace.
