Nature writing is not just about describing plants and animals: it offers an opportunity for us to explore our relationships with the natural world. Come join this unique, 4-workshop series on nature writing, led by teaching artist Andrea Asali. We’ll read the work of authors including Jane Goodall and Robin Wall Kimmerer and discuss how their nature writing relates to the exhibits here at DMNS. Drawing inspiration from these conversations, you’ll spend time writing your own pieces (nonfiction, poetry, and/or fiction) on how you relate to the natural world. Participants will also have a chance to share their writing with others, receive feedback (if desired), and discuss ways to continue their nature writing beyond the workshop series.
The cost of this program includes all 4 sessions, taking place on 4 dates – 10/7, 10/8, 10/22, 10/24
