About this Event
This event in Aberdeen is for artists and creatives who have an interest in creative ageing. The afternoon will comprise presentations, breakout discussions and there will be plenty of time for networking.
Who is this event for?
- Older artists, whether you have a longstanding career or have come to your practice later in life
- Artists of any age who work with and for older people in community settings
- Professionals in cultural organisations who are involved in creative ageing work
There is no charge to attend, and some funds are available to help with expenses where needed. Please contact the Luminate team at [email protected] or on 0131 668 8066 if you would like to discuss financial support.
Where is it taking place?

Places are limited, so on this occasion we are only able to offer one place per organisation.
What to expect on the day?
Our programme of events for the day is below.
We will begin the day with a networking lunch and refreshments will be provided. There will be networking afterwards over tea, coffee and cake at 4pm that we hope you will join us for.
Programme:
Lunch and networking – 13.00 - 14.00. Lunch is served at 13.15.
Presentations and Q+A - 14.00 - 16.00
Our speakers will be;
Jacqueline Bennett from Live Life Aberdeenshire and Jason Strathdee from Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership discussing their "Felt Fine" and "Feeling Fine" projects, they will also focus on the collaborative approach between arts teams and care sector colleagues.
Team members from Citymoves Dance Agency - including some of their dancers - who will talk about Quicksilver, their performance group for people aged 50+.
