Join International Artist Linda Hollingshead, well known for her friendly, inspiring & enjoyable workshops, to learn ways to create your own unique travel sketchbook.

Travel sketchbooks and visual journals have been used through the ages in a variety of ways. They can be a fun, relaxing & liberating way to explore creative expression without the pressure of feeling you have to get things ‘Perfect!’

Discover how to use a sketchbook to connect & record the scenes around you from travel & holidays. Learn valuable skills that you can continue to use & develop sketches

Linda shows a colourful illustrative style to walk you through a simple step-by-step process to simplify a scene and translate it into a sketch. To be applied to

Landscapes, cities, coastlines & everyday items seen on your travels.

Discover easy ways to work with coloured drawing materials & how to create a successful page layout.

Plus the essentials for your sketching kit & how to travel light.

You are invited to bring along photos of scenes you would love to sketch & learn all the how-to’s.

There will be a summary & round-up of the day with suggestions for choosing a sketchbook you love & materials for continuing your sketching practice.

Participants will be shown demonstrations & will receive individual help and advice with opportunities for Q&A’s to achieve the best results. There is plenty of time to play & draw at your own pace.

The Workshop will involve….

● A simple way to sketch without the overwhelm.

● A step-by-step sketching process for selecting a scene, establishing a focus and translating that to paper.

● Using colour in your drawings
