Creating the pathway at Saint Francis of Assisi Church

Transport & Address:

We will be working at St Francis of Assisi Terriers Church. We will meet on site at 10am and finish at approximately 3.30pm.

We will meet at the church carpark: St Francis of Assisi Terriers, Church, Totteridge, High Wycombe HP13 6BD. Parking is limited, please car share where possible.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:

Today we will be creating steps and putting the finishing touches to the pathway including woodchipping. Plenty of variety today so something for everyone! Come for an hour or the whole day.

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!

10.15: Work begins

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own

15.30: Work finishes, time to go home!

What to Bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may need a hat and suncream.

Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Please note:

Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.

Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
