About this Event

Topics covered will include:


  • Understanding dependency in everyday life and why people use substances
  • The cycle of tolerance and addiction
  • Healthier drinking patterns
  • Alcohol and the workplace
  • Supporting colleagues returning to work following absence related to substance use
  • Supporting concerned family members, friends and colleagues
  • Understanding cannabis and THC vapes
  • Reducing stigma and promoting recovery-friendly workplaces


The workshop will also feature a powerful lived experience talk, offering personal insight into recovery and the importance of compassionate support.


Throughout the morning, attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals, ask questions and learn more about local support services available through New Vision Bradford.
