Creating Knotted Necklaces

The traditional technique of hand-knotting beaded jewelry can be traced back to ancient times. In any museum with an ancient jewelry collection, you'll see examples like Egyptian necklaces with lapis lazuli and carnelian beads, Mesopotamian turquoise, and Persian pearls, all knotted by hand. Fast forward to today, knotted beads are still ubiquitous - not only are they incredibly lasting and stable, also stringing them with knotted spaces in between each bead gives a more graceful drape to them. Easy to make and tons of options to make it your own. All supplies and tools provided. Instruction by artist Sarah Williams.
