Two-time Tony award winning playwright Joe DiPietro (MEMPHIS) has coalesced the theory of evolution and the theory of intelligent design into the same orbit in his brilliant stage play CREATING CLAIRE. Making these massive premises manageable, DiPietro brings them home to a married couple and their autistic daughter, as well as a battle between their personal friend and administrator of the natural history museum. The survival of the fittest theory is on. Can anything positive evolve from this conflict?

THE STORY: Employed as a docent at a natural history museum, nice, middle-aged Claire comes under fire when her tour-guide patter deviates from the strict scientific beliefs of her formidable supervisor and heads down a path that espouses intelligent design.

House opens at 6:30pm. Performance will begin at 7:00pm. Following the performance will be a talkback with Cast & Director.
