Pollinator gardens are becoming more popular and the City of Charlotte has recently pledged to make it easier for homeowners to grow them, so now's a great time to start your own!
Craig Maxwell will present on what makes a pollinator garden work and how you can set yourself up for success. We'll get to know some of our local pollinators and discuss native plant choices, garden care, and how to spread the good word about pollinators.
Craig joined NCNPS in 2020, hoping to learn more about how to improve his garden and hopefully give back to the local environment. In 2022, he became our chapter chair and led our chapter until 2024. Over the last 5 years, Craig has steadily replaced nearly all the lawn on his half-acre property with native plant beds, including full-sun pollinator beds.
