About this Event
Are you new to watercolor or interested in learning how to paint a scene with more complexity and depth? Join us on Saturday, August 30 at 3pm for this beginner-accessible class, where we'll learn how to identify the foreground, middle ground, and background of an image, and use some specific watercolor techniques to make your scene come to life with three-dimensionality!
You can bring a reference image from home or choose from some that we'll have on hand.
Supplies are included in the registration fee, and we'll have a Manhattan Brewing Company bartender on hand for your (alcohol and NA) beverage needs.
Come have fun with us and learn something new with women like you.
Get to know your instructor: Kelly Yarbrough is a Kansas-based artist whose work is an ecosystem of mixed media drawing, arts administration, and environmental engagement that invites a deeper literacy of the landscapes we call home. Kelly holds an MFA from Kansas State University and is the founder and lead administrator of the Tallgrass Artist Residency.
Get to know your host: The Introduction to Watercolor Workshop is hosted by Sarah Siders and the Flourish Community, an online and IRL group of women in Midlife committed to stepping into the second half of life with poise, power and wisdom and who want to explore new passions and identities.
