About this Event

You will not need this ticket for entry. We will have your name on a list. There will be NO registrations on the day of the event.

The event is outdoors. Please wear sunscreen and bring a hat for the sun or a coat or sweater for the chill. We don't know what the weather will be at this point.

We will require mask wearing and social distancing.

A plant based lunch from Good Health Café will be provided for you to take with you when you leave.

In case of inclement weather the event will be moved inside the Bessemer Rec Center, with provisions for distancing and safety.

Lunch

Lunch is provided by Good Health Café and Bar, Alabama’s first fully kosher plant based whole food – soul food café, located right here in Bessemer (1920 8th Avenue North, Bessemer, Alabama 35020). The Zen Burger is made up of chickpeas and spices, which give it a unique and satisfying flavor.

When possible, Good Health Café purchases their vegetables from Bessemer Farmers Market, thus cycling money back to the local farmers, contributing to the growing food economy in Bessemer. Eating locally produced vegetables and pulse crops is one way to support local food production.
