About this Event
Creating a Free Market Surgery Center in San Antonio, Texas

Join the San Antonio FMMA at Creating a Free Market Surgery Center in San Antonio, Texas on October 27 at Club at Sonterra. Our community of conscious healthcare consumers is searching for transparent pricing from multispecialty surgical facilities. Medical tourism and proxy shopping have been the answers so far. However, we are laying the foundations to bring together the key components of healthcare into bundled, affordable prices by partnering with preferred specialists and facilities in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Our next meeting is extraordinary because we will be highlighting ambulatory surgery centers, laboratories, and facilities with cash pay options, such as HealthCrest and CorePath.

Building upon the wisdom given to us at the last meeting by our broker chapter members who “get it,” Allison De Paoli is on a mission to help our employer chapter members save money on healthcare insurance without passing more of the burden onto their teams. She will be tying it all together.

We will be meeting at the beautiful Club at Sonterra, a premiere country club in San Antonio with horderves, drinks, and networking opportunities with like-minded individuals who support free market medicine. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

About The Speakers
Dr. Aamir Ehsan, CorePath

Dr. Ehsan is American Board Certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, hematopathology, molecular genetics, and transfusion medicine. He completed his pathology residency at Monmouth Medical Center at Hahnemann University in Long Branch, New Jersey. He then completed his subspecialty training as a transfusion medicine fellow at Ohio State University and a hematopathology fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His expertise in these subspecialties provides a uniquely integrated diagnostic approach to hematopoietic disease processes.

During the last 15 years, Dr. Ehsan has served as a faculty member at the UT Health Science Center and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona. Dr. Ehsan has excelled as a national expert in the field of hematopathology, demonstrating proficiency in bone marrow, lymph node, and tissue-based hematolymphoid neoplasms. His tenure as the director of the flow cytometry and molecular genetics laboratories at the university has contributed to his extensive experience in cutting-edge testing related to the rapidly changing field of pathology.

Dr. Ehsan is an outstanding communicator and educator in his field. He has earned multiple awards for excellence in teaching and has mentored many pathology residents and hematopathology and hematology/oncology fellows. He has contributed significantly to scientific work in peer-reviewed journal articles, authored textbook chapters, and invited speakers at national teleconferences.

Curtis Loos, CorePath

Mr. Loos leads the national sales and marketing team at CorePath Laboratories. As the Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Mr. Loos identifies and develops new business opportunities while meeting and exceeding client needs regularly. His dynamic, cross-functional abilities allow him to oversee, coordinate and assist with corporate negotiations, maintain brand knowledge and effectively employ marketing strategies. He also establishes and manages hospital and insurance contracts while creating close working relationships between physicians, patients, and CorePath Laboratories.

After 16 years in the healthcare market, Mr. Loos has developed a strong focus on maintaining client relationships and forming strong bonds with the local community.

Allison DePaoli, Altiqe Consulting

A veteran of the insurance and benefits industry, Allison has been helping companies provide benefits to their employees for over thirty years. After serving as Vice President of Operations for the family employee benefits firm, she relocated to San Antonio and began her career in the voluntary (enhanced!) benefits niche. She became a top 1% sales producer and found her passion as she learned how to effectively engage employees in making their benefits plan work for them.

Allison later founded De Paoli Professional Services in 2015, allowing her to deliver best-in-class Enhanced Benefits (formerly known as Voluntary Benefits) and effective enrollment and implementation strategies.

Shortly after that, the firm expanded again to offer the best in class employee benefits.

Her mission is to help employers find budgeting predictability in their health care spend, with the happy side effect of lower out-of-pocket costs for employees and better access to high-quality care.

In 2019, the firm's name was changed to Altiqe to reflect the expanded scope of services better.

Randy Reynolds, HealthCrest

Mr. Reynolds joined HealthCrest as Senior VP of Field Operations in November 2016. He currently oversees our surgery centers and sleep labs. He was previously employed by Foundation Surgery Affiliates, where he held various positions, including administrator of Foundation Surgery Center of Oklahoma. Other previous employment activities include being the financial/operations manager for a manufacturing/distribution company, the director of auditing at various financial institutions, and a risk underwriter/loan officer in the commercial lending area of a large banking organization.

She works closely with Randy Reynolds at HealthCrest. In 2017, she helped open a new ASC, Huebner Ambulatory Surgical Center from the ground up. She led the team in ordering equipment instruments and supplies, hired all the staff, created all new policies, and managed care contracts. She recruited 11 surgeons and 8 investors. She gained accreditation from CMS, AAAHC and MBSQUIP.
