Create Your Own Trouser Block Class at Abakhan Shrewsbury

This is a great NEW class!

Having a trouser pattern tailored to your exact body measurements is a game-changer. It allows for a perfect fit, and once you have the basic pattern, you can easily modify it to create different styles, like adding pleats, changing the waistline, or even experimenting with different fabrics.

What kind of measurements will you be focusing on in this class? We will look waist, hip, inside leg and outside leg and more detailed ones such as rise and crotch depth and why they are so important.

Please note although the paper pattern is made on the day there may be a minor adjustment when making the toile at home.

Skill level : No sewing machine skills required

What to bring:

• 1 metre of pattern paper - wide

Janome sewing machines will be provided on the day along with a hot drink. You will also receive a 10% discount card to use in-store.

I have been involved with sewing and dressmaking for all of my working life and nothing gives me greater pleasure than passing on my knowledge to people who want to learn to sew. I enjoy sewing, dressmaking, all types of craft and especially machine embroidery.

I have been working at the abakhan store in Shrewsbury since it opened its doors in 2018.
