Create Your Own Cloth Amulet or Intention Pouch

It may be for general protection, increasing your capacity for giving and receiving love, healing from painful wounds, an object of remembrance of a loved one, a reminder of a commitment you are making to yourself, etc. These may be worn, displayed on a wall, placed on an altar, whatever feels most supportive and meaningful to you. 

I will provide some dried herbs, salt, and a few other items that you may choose from to put inside, but I also encourage you to bring your own items. These could be small gemstones that feel aligned with your intention, pieces of paper with writing, anything that feels meaningful to you, even if it might not make logical sense to you, try to let your intuition guide you. 

During the class we will spend time embroidering an image onto the fabric for your pouch, stitching the fabric into a pouch, filling it with your items, and adding cord and tassels if you’d like additional adornments. There will be an invitation for us to share with each other about our intentions as we work.

They live their life as an expression of beauty, by bringing ceremony and ritual into the mundane acts of the day. They are striving to remember their belonging with the natural world by listening to the ways the more-than -human world is always offering us lessons and showing us the ways of beauty, simplicity, and the cyclical nature of things. Žiara believes in creating a new culture from our most magical dreams of interdependent care, abundance, and mutual thriving. They are currently practicing building new world through their involvement in Future Ancestors Folk Choir, Wild Grief, Olympia mutual aid apothecary, Roots and Rhythms outdoor pre-school, and Earth Keepers Wisdom School : A Year in Ceremony.
