Create Cut Glass Relief Sculpture with Artist Amy Voss at Art Gallery Pure

Renowned artist, Amy Voss is leading a 3-night workshop for five lucky participants to teach her process of creating cut glass relief sculptures. Students will create a stunning glass mosaic on a 12" wooden round substrate.

Tuesday night: "Design and Cutting Glass" Learn how to cut glass, and use cut glass pieces to create their design, and adhere the glass to the wood substrate.

Wednesday night: "The Art of Grouting" With a paint brush, learn to grout the fine lines and edges of the glass design.

Thursday night: "The Art of Using Resin" Clean the grout off of the glass sculpture, resin will be applied to complete the finished work of art. Pieces will be dry and ready to be picked up Friday.

Amy Voss is a self taught glass artist working in the medium for 13 years. Amy’s signature style of creating one-of-a-kind glass sculptures using acoustic guitars as her canvas, led her to launch Glass Axes in 2009. Her guitar sculptures hang on the walls of hotels, restaurants, private homes, and offices belonging to several renowned music industry and sports execs, and musical artists including Katy Perry. She is also represented by Art Gallery Pure.

$260. Includes a $80 supply fee.  In order to have the best in one-on-one instruction, our workshop is limited to five attendees. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to event to get seated as instruction starts promptly at 7:00.
