🚨Big Announcement: CREATE ART CAR WASH MURAL FESTIVAL
📍Hive Mind Studios
4714 Nuckols Crossing Rd, Austin, TX 78744
(Dove Springs Neighborhood)
October 24 - November 22
Hive Mind ATX is teaming up with Create Art Car Wash for a month-long mural festival. Four weekends of fresh walls, days in between, live painting, music, and community, all in one place.
This festival is built by many hands. It brings together a big number of artists, curators of different kinds, and anyone who has ever wanted to pick up a brush and add their mark to the city.
WHAT’S HAPPENING:
🖌️ Professional and emerging muralists, sculptors
🤝 Curated group wall painting
🧱 Open walls for jams
🎶 Live music
🛍️ Art vendor market
🌮 Tacos, sweet elixirs, and a few exciting surprises
🚌 The Art Bus @austinstudiotour
🗺️ Austin Studio Tour extended program and more
🍭Free access to visit the new Outdoor Gallery anytime
🐝 Creative Transformation Fundraising Project
The Festival will be happening throughout the entire 4 weeks in IV Phases, closing parts of the working carwash.
THE BIG WEEKENDS at HIVE MIND:
✨ Oct 24-25 | The Hive Immersive Art Show opening. Walls - Phase I
🎃 Oct 31-Nov 1 | Spooky weekend. Walls - Phase II
💥 Oct 7-8 | Surprise Pop-Up Art Show. Walls Phase III
🏡 Nov 14-15 + Nov 21-22 | Austin Studio Tour & Official Art Bus @almostrealthings. Walls Phase IV
CREATIVE TRANSFORMATION FUNDRAISING PROJECT
For the whole festival, we’re partnering with @artuscoart on a fundraising project that shines a light on the real impact working artists make.
* More on how to get involved soon.
WHY THIS MATTERS
We believe Austin can be a city that truly backs its creatives and gets more beautiful because of them.
🚘 Create Art Car Wash shows what that looks like: a local business that makes room for art and celebrates creativity out loud. This festival is one step toward that vision.
JURORS DROPPING SOON 👀
We’re about to announce our jurors, who will pre-select muralists for the walls being cleaned and prepped right this moment. Dear Muralists, keep your eyes here.
Save the dates, tag your crew, and come paint the town with us. 🌆🌃
