CREATE (Ages 0-5 + Parents/Carers)

CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care. Running two mornings a week the project aims to provide active childhood experiences for the adults and children.

CREATE provides the resources, ideas and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated in the home environment using recycled, low-cost and easily obtainable materials.

All materials and a healthy snack are provided during each session.

Places are FREE of charge but booking is required due to limited numbers.

Where possible, sessions will run on Saturdays during term time from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

The sessions will involve movement, exploring and art making indoors and outdoors, so please:

• Wear comfortable clothes and layers that you don’t mind getting messy.
  
• Wear footwear that allows you to be active and move.
  
• 
  Bring a warm/waterproof outer layer, just in case we make it outdoors!
  

Please note:

These sessions are aimed at children living in the local community (areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton and Drylaw – see pink area on map below showing our community boundary).

To make sure everyone is safe and can take part comfortably, numbers will be limited in line with current Government Covid-19 guidelines.
