In this fun and creative art class, students will learn the basics of drawing portraits through observation and imagination! Young artists will practice looking closely at facial features like eyes, noses, mouths, and hair while creating a self-portrait that celebrates their unique personality. Students will explore drawing techniques, proportions, and expressive details in a supportive and playful environment. To finish their masterpiece, each artist will design and decorate a homemade picture frame to proudly display their artwork at home. Perfect for budding artists who love to create, explore, and express themselves through art!
Monday: Learn about the structure of the face and practice drawing each other.
Tuesday: Learn about creating shadows
Wednesday: Practice colors of the face
Thursday: Create a self portrait masterpiece.
Friday: Make a frame for your art!
