Crayola Lectern return for another barnstorming end to Worthing festival celebrations in 2024! Last years performance was outstanding, mesmerising, alternative and original, so expect more of the same this year!Main support will be the wonderful Snowy Mountain.
“Snowy Mountain is a local musician who writes ice cool dream-pop style music. She will be joined on keyboards by long time like-minded collaborator and friend Prince Vaseline. Fresh from shows with Midnight Salad and Bella Union Vinyl shop, Snowy has been likened to Broadcast in the past; which she considers a big compliment!”
Opening the evening will be the incredible L C Pumpkin, who is is a low-fidelity one-man band playing fuzz banjo while hitting pads of a sampler via a metal arm clamped to the banjo with a cork on the end of it.
Astonishingly, his self-released, no-budget home-recordings have been played on national radio by Tom Ravenscroft, Jarvis Cocker, Stuart Maconie and Gideon Coe, as well as by some other DJs no-one's ever heard of. According to one review "LC Pumpkin is a name everyone should know and remember. Sadly they don’t."
