They played 200 years apart, but these two artists have more in common than you think.
About this Event

I've wanted to do this for a year, and it's finally ready.

Beethoven and Linkin Park are two of my all-time favorite artists. The former composed in the early 1800's, and later in the early 2000's. One classical, the other alt rock.

Despite the wide gaps in time, instruments, and genre, I always felt like there was a common thread between these artists. Both injected raw emotion into their music far beyond any others of their time. Both wrestled with personal turmoil and struggle. Both loved the key of C# minor. Both ascended to a musical "peak" that few ever reach.

So for 2 nights (Thursday10/13 and Friday 10/14), I'm going to play them together on the piano. You'll hear pieces like:

  • Moonlight Sonata (in its entirety)
  • In the End
  • Numb
  • Crawling
  • Clair de Lune (written by Debussy, but it means "moonlight" in French so how could I not)
  • A few surprises

This event is free to attend, but it's also a fundraiser for People Loving Nashville: https://www.hopehousetennessee.com/

Feel free to bring friends, drinks, desserts, and leftover teenage agnst.
