Featuring NATION (LA) — At the center of the night, debuting in Houston for the very first time. The Southern California duo of Fresh Jame and Funball deliberately resist clean genre classification, moving through dreamy pop, electronic music, dance, indie rock and more experimental production. With collaborations alongside Ecco2k, Bladee and Varg²™ and past touring with Yung Lean and Yves Tumor, Nation have built a world distinctly their own! October 2, Houston gets its first chance to experience it in full.
CORRIDOS KETAMINA (LA + PHX) Mexican-American duo Nico Malva and Henny Fay are pushing corridos into unfamiliar territory, colliding the tradition of regional Mexican music with trap, cloud rap, punk, emo and internet-born experimentation.
C+ (LA) — Arriving from Los Angeles for their first Houston appearance, brings another edge of the city’s emerging underground into the program moving through electronic, deconstructed club and experimental sound with an approach built as much around atmosphere as movement.
AXXCER (TX) (c)rave resident Axxcer returns to the Houston program, continuing a presence that has run through the platform’s local and international presentations. A constant within the world of (c)rave, his sets connect the different edges of the night through an instinctive, forward-facing approach to club music.
DSUB (LA + TX) a duo moving between Los Angeles and Texas, DSUB operates at the fractured edge of club music with a restless collision of experimental electronics and the bleeding edge of contemporary sound.
