Stories of "The Irish Horse"

Join CRAICLY in Bewley’s for an evening of supper, conversations and stories. From within in candlelit James Joyce Room in Bewley’s, in celebration of The Year of The Horse, we are taking time to hear stories of the Irish Horse. From mythology to sport to history to agriculture to transport to equine companion ….and wherever else the stories take us. The Horse has played an integral role in so many aspects of Irish life and this equine connection has played a huge part in both historic and contemporary social connections. Come join us, as we hear from some people who know them best!

CRAICLY Is one of Irelands most innovative story-sharing projects. Featured in The Gloss, RTE Radio 1, LIFE Magazine, Irish Post and more. CRAICLY Started on a farm in Kildare, in 2023 and has since travelled all over Ireland, from historic houses to farms, castles and our monthly residency in Bewley's takes place in the historic James Joyce Room. Overlooking Grafton Street, we meet, socialise, share a supper on long tables and hear pre-organised stories from a selection of guests after supper. From memoir, poetry, true experiences and a little bit of literary sparkle we enjoy listening, understanding and imagining all the wonderful tales happening in lives around us. (Ps, we don't record stories using tech, and are always keen to hear from new storytellers so you can apply for a story space via the www.craiclystories.com website)
