Over the last few months we have cleared the worst of the understory weeds from an area adjacent the main access track.
This area was previously thick with woody weeds, and the seed bank for native plants has been severely depleted. It is also under siege by weeds from the adjacent cow paddock.
By planting this out with a native understory, we will rehabilitate this area AND protect the lower areas from W**d infiltration. This area adjacent the track will also be highly visible and easily accessible for follow up weeding in years to come.
This is going to be such a great project!! We're pumped to get some plants in the ground and we hope you can join us!!
We are starting at 9:30 and finishing when the plants are in. We hope for a midday finish but feel free to stay as long as you like.
Bring water and morning tea. Long sleeves and sturdy boots are also useful, and a jacket or other weather protection.
