Nick Gutierrez is a nonbinary, Latinx artist from the Ciudad Juarez/El Paso borderland. They make artwork that focuses on religion, their identity, existentialism, space, and struggles with mental health/past experiences. Nick is currently focusing on collage and illustration but have also worked extensively with gouache paint, printmaking, and graphite.
Folks can expect a laid-back workshop that will focus on creating artwork from the heart. “I’d like guests to make pieces without planning them and focusing on their intuition or emotional state at the time. I hope this will help them let loose, provide emotional release, and take the pressure out of making art.” - @midnightscreeningart
