Craft Workshop for Granny Square Day

Our Granny Square Day workshop is a relaxed and creative session for people to come together and make granny squares for a virtual quilt. Although granny squares are traditionally crocheted, we have sourced a pattern for a knitting version, so no-one is left out! (we have a few double pointed needles for this).

Whether you're a novice, or an experienced crafter, you're warmly invited to join in. We have a variety of patterns to follow and a small amount of yarn from donations that can be used, but to ensure the colours and weight you like bring your own along. Please bring your own 4mm crochet hook.

This session is great for:

• Practicing your crochet or knitting skills

• Meeting others who enjoy crafting in a friendly environment

• Enjoying a mindful and calming activity

• Discovering what our libraries offer

Time: 2.00 - 4.00 PM

Date: Friday 14th August

Age: Adults and Young People 12+

(supervised children under 12 that already crochet are also welcome)

Booking: This is a drop-in event, so booking is not required. If you do choose to book a ticket, please be aware that it does not guarantee you a space. Participation will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
