In this class, you will create a leather journal with fish leather accents. You will be able to choose from several types of fish leather on your cover including walleye, lake trout, perch, and salmon.You’ll select your leather cover with fish leather attached, pick a thread color, and learn how to hand-stitch six folded parchment signatures into your journal. The instructor will walk you through punching holes, stitching, and adding the final touches to your journal, including a kangaroo lace closure and a leather dressing to protect your cover.
If time allows, there will be a demonstration of the sewing skills needed to attach the fish leather to the cover.
