About this Event
Students are required to complete the online training BEFORE attending the in-person class.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides health care providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency responses scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history. The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation of Prehospital Continuing Education. Skills performed on the floor: Please dress comfortably as skills are performed on the floor. Students are required by the American Red Cross to perform one full round of CPR on the floor.
Proof of Online Course Completion is REQIRED to attend the in-person training (allow 1-3 hours to complete the online training; start on-line training 48 hours prior to the in-person training.)
