CP Swim Club 7 Summits Swim Challenge

This is Cal Poly Swim Club's second annual 7 summits swim challenge! We were inspired by Sarah Hawkins, our former CP Club Sports advisor and her organization, kidney donor athletes, that climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2022! The 7 summits swim challenge is a San Luis Obispo community wide event where you pick which of the 7 summits you want to conquer and swim that distance. Anyone who wants to swim can sign up and join. There will be a kids event that will have smaller distances as well. Attendees will be provided a swim cap and meal with the purchase of a ticket. Please join us for a fun filled day in the pool along with good music, food, and company!

Kosciuszko 2,228m (2,436.57yrds) about 44 laps long course

Vinson 4,892m (5,3489.9 yrds) about 98 laps long course

Elbrus 5,642m (6,170.16 yrds) about 113 laps long course

Kilimanjaro 5,895m (6,446.85 yrds) about 118 laps long course

Denali 6,194m (6,773.84 yards) about 124 laps long course

Aconcagua 6,961m (7,612.64 yrds) about 139 laps long course

Everest 8,848m (9,676.29 yrds) about 177 laps long course

We also have a 'mini summit' option where distances are based off of the summits in SLO! We will have a kids heat for these events as well.

Morro Rock 176m (192.4 yrds) about 4 laps long course

Chumash Peak 383m (418 yrds) about 8 laps long course

Bishop Peak 475m (519 yrds) about 10 laps long course

Swimmers will be notified 2-3 days in advance on the time that they will swimming on Saturday

Any non-cal poly club athletes will have to sign a form prior to their event

Students will be required to show school ID at the time of check in for the event

Spectators are welcome to watch outside of the pool deck
