Cozy Pajama Pants Workshop

Choose to make either pajama pants or pajama shorts in this beginner-friendly sewing workshop. We’ll use a simple no-side-seam pattern (provided for an additional pattern fee) that works for adults, kids, and all genders.

This project is designed to introduce you to the essentials of garment making:

reading and using a sewing pattern, taking and adjusting basic body measurements, making simple fit adjustments directly on the pattern, sewing beginner-friendly seams and techniques, installing an elastic waistband

By the end of class, you’ll have a cozy pair of handmade pajamas and the confidence to sew more on your own!

⏰ Time: 3:00–5:30 p.m.

💵 Cost: $85 workshop fee + $15 pattern fee

To prepare your personalized pattern, I’ll just need your hip circumference ahead of time. This simple, no–side-seam pattern allows us to adjust everything else directly in class before we cut and sew your pajama pants or shorts.

🧵 Fabric:

Please bring cotton flannel (or cotton/flannel).

If your fabric is under 45” wide, buy twice the length of your desired pants/shorts. Measure from your waist down to the length you want along the side seam, then multiply by two.

I also recommend pre-washing your fabric to soften and pre-shrink it.

🔁 Elastic:

Bring 1 yard of elastic—we’ll cut the correct length during class based on your waist and the stretch of the elastic.

* No refund is given for any missed classes in the course. It is your responsibility to come to each class. If a class needs to be missed you can communicate with your teacher to help catch you up on the project from home before our next class.

With over 20 years of experience under my belt (yes, I started early!) I've honed my skills as a tailor, pattern maker, and sewing technologist. Specializing in women’s clothing, and utilizing my One Fitting method, I’ve brought countless unique garments to life, turning my clients’ visions into reality. I have deep experience with teaching sewing classes around the world I am excited to bring my expertise to The Nest.
