If your home is within the city limits of Abilene, Kansas, and you would like to decorate your home and enter the contest to win some cash, call Abilene Parks and Recreation at 785-263-7266 or visit https://secure.rec1.com/KS/abilene-ks/catalog and register your residence!
4:30 pm -Donate a canned food item to the Abilene Area Food Bank and join the Christmas Cruise to vote on the best-decorated “Griswold-style” holiday lights in the Cowtown Christmas Light Showdown. Families and friends will love the friendly competition and festive displays!
6:58 pm - Mayor's Tree Lighting
7:00 pm - Santa arrives by Fire Truck
7:30 pm - All ballots need to be turned in to Amanda's Bakery and Bistro
- AHS Singers will perform
8:00 pm — Cowtown Christmas Light Showdown Winner Announcement
Cowtown Christmas Light Showdown winners will be announced at Little Ike Park at 8:00 pm.
1st Place - $2,000 — West's Plaza Country Mart & AC Westside Market
2nd Place - $1,000 — ______________
3rd Place - $500 — Brierton Engineering
Mayor's Choice (3) $100 — City of Abilene
