Title: Darwin’s Theory of Annoyances, or Evolution or Escapism
Written by : the ‘25-’26 Character Work class
Darwin narrates his theories of evolution, and how his school illustrates all the principles of evolution, and the need for escapism & retreating into one’s own private reality, as the realities of other subjects are so.... irritating. Behold.
Title: Join the Club
Written by : the ‘25-’26 Inside Out class
A young girl is so relentlessly bullied by a girl in a competition dance group that she quits dance, the one activity that she loved and had been her dream. She gives up what she loves, and thinks that it is all over, but years later, she encounters the same girl at middle school, and it all comes rushing back.
Title: Yearbook
Written by : the ‘25-’26 Character Work class
As eighth grade comes to a close, students must submit their memory page for the yearbook, which forces students to face the changes that are approaching. For some, it is a welcome release, for others, anxiety-provoking. In a small school, it’s hard to break free of how you’ve been defined, but it’s time to change.
