Join us for a magical celebration of light, creativity, and community in Coventry Village!
Mark your calendars for our main festival day on Saturday, December 14, filled with FREE festive activities, creative workshops, and the beloved Lantern Procession. We also invite you to kick off the fun early with a special pre-festival event in November!
Sadly, this year’s Lantern Festival will be bittersweet, as it marks the final public event we will host at the P.E.A.C.E. Building. With the decision by the Cleveland Heights - University Heights Library to close the building, the cherished space that has been home to our organizations will soon be lost. We invite you to join us in not just saying farewell, but in celebrating the many years of creativity, community, and joy we've experienced together within these walls. Let’s gather to honor the memories, reflect on the impact, and embrace the light and joy of the holiday season. Your presence will mean the world to all of us as we look to the future with hope and gratitude for the time we’ve shared.

Help kick off the Lantern Festival season with ARTFUL artist Jacqui Brown at a Lantern Making Happy Hour! Bring a friend and enjoy a fun evening of creativity. Beverages will be available for purchase.

Coventry Village will be alive with holiday cheer! Explore special events hosted by local businesses throughout the day, then head to the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Building for afternoon festivities filled with creativity, music, and community.

Coventry School Alumni Reunion
2:00 – 4:45 pm | Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Building
Reconnect with fellow alumni of Coventry Elementary School at this special reunion event. Tour the Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Building, create your very own alumni lantern, and join the evening Lantern Procession to close out the day.

Lantern Making Workshops & Holiday Sing-Along
3:00 – 4:45 pm | Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Building
Join us for lantern-making workshops where you can craft a personalized lantern to carry in the procession. While you create, enjoy free snacks, cocoa, and holiday songs led by the Singers’ Club of Cleveland. Special adult beverages will be available, as well.

Lantern Procession
5:00 – 5:45 pm | Starts at Coventry P.E.A.C.E. Building
Join Robin VanLear and her Art Acts performers, who will dazzle the crowd in giant puppet costumes, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of local drummers, as they lead the Lantern Procession down Coventry Rd. Bring your handmade lantern or a special one from home to light up the evening. The procession will conclude with a vibrant drum and dance celebration near the corner of Coventry Rd. and Euclid Heights Blvd.
