WCS: Wednesdays week 14-20
Note that we have an Easter break, with only practice time week 14!
“West Coast Swing (WCS) is the viral partner dance of the last few years, which is danced all over the world. It suits most slower, modern music and is easily recognized by the room for improvisation for both followers and leaders within the dance.”
🕓17:30 – 18:30 Continuation course
The continuation course is suitable for dancers who have already taken the beginners course. Here new figures and music adaptation is explored further. Expect more fun and lot’s of dancing!
Beginner course
🕓18:45 – 19:45 Beginner course
The beginner course is designed for those who have never danced West Coast Swing before—or perhaps have never danced at all. It provides a solid foundation in the dance, covering rhythm and music, basic steps, and simple patterns. By the end of the first lesson, you’ll be able to show off the basic steps at CSDA’s social hangouts. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident enough to join West Coast Swing social dances wherever they take place in Sweden.
Social dance
🕓18:45 – 19:45 Exploration course
Exploration is where you can come and try new moves and/or work on connection, this is an open space to try out new things and work on your moves. We recommend that you have some experience (e.g. our beginner course).
🕓19:45 - 21:00
The social dance is open for any CSDA member and we highly encourage our students to join it as part of the course. Here you have room to practice what you’ve learnt, as well a socialize and make new friends
