Join Just City for our inaugural Courage to Care Awards, an evening to celebrate the truth-tellers and to prove that freedom works.
Hear from guest speaker Sabrina Butler-Smith, the first woman in the United States exonerated from death row, and help us honor the people who refuse to look away.
Sabrina will share her powerful testimony of being wrongfully incarcerated as a young mother. Attendees will also get an powerful look at the Shelby County Jail system, exploring how humanity persists within its walls and challenging us all to find the courage to care. Finally, Just City will hold its first-ever awards ceremony, honoring those who challenge the status quo and fight for a future where pre-trial freedom is a promise, not a privilege.
Heavy appetizers and wine will be served, followed by a cocktail reception.
